Welcome to Recroot LEA. This Privacy Policy explains how AR Innovations Pty Ltd (ACN 652 722 337) (“Recroot”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the Recroot LEA mobile application and related services.

Recroot LEA provides AI-powered practice sessions and interview preparation tools designed to improve communication, confidence, and professional skills.

“Personal Information” means any information that identifies or can reasonably identify an individual.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide our services:

Account Information

• Name, Email address, and Phone number
• Career-related details (role, industry, experience level, and optional profile data)
• Resume information (uploaded optionally). Resumes are parsed to extract relevant profile details to improve onboarding and personalization.

Usage Information

• Audio responses from practice and interview sessions
• Video recordings (stored securely and retained for up to 14 days, after which they are automatically deleted and are NOT shared with AI providers)
• User responses, answers, and feedback generated during sessions
• App usage data (features used, session activity, progress tracking)

Technical Information

• Device information and app performance data (crashes, diagnostics)
• Usage analytics processed via Firebase Analytics to improve app performance

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide AI-powered practice sessions and interview feedback
• Deliver personalized insights and job readiness assessments
• Extract and structure information from uploaded resumes
• Improve app performance and customer support

We do not sell your personal data.

3. AI Data Processing

Recroot uses trusted third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, to generate feedback. We also use Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription.

Data processed by AI services:

• Audio responses (processed via Deepgram)
• Transcribed audio data used for feedback generation

Data NOT shared with AI providers:

• Video recordings
• Raw media files

AI services are used strictly to generate feedback. We do not use your data for advertising or to train public AI models.

4. Data Storage and Hosting

We use high-security cloud infrastructure to support app functionality:

• MongoDB: Secure storage for user accounts and session records.
• AWS: Backend hosting and operations, primarily in the Sydney (Australia) region.
• Amazon S3: Encrypted storage for media files (video/audio).
• LiveKit: Enables real-time communication during sessions.

All data is protected using industry-standard security controls and encryption.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share data only with:

• Trusted infrastructure providers under strict confidentiality agreements
• AI service providers (selected data only)
• Legal authorities if required by law

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and personal data at any time via the app:

App Flow: Open the app → Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account.

Upon confirmation, all personal data, session history, and account info will be permanently removed.
